Course History
The Trails of Frisco Golf Club in Frisco, Texas, opened in fall 2000. It was designed by Jeff Brauer, a Texas-based architect who founded GolfScapes in Arlington in 1984 after apprenticing in Chicago. Known for over 50 original designs and 80 renovations, Brauer typically creates open, straightforward layouts but made Trails uniquely challenging with hidden creeks, scenic wetlands, extensive bunkering, and massive greens on a par-71 course measuring around 6,900 yards from the tips. Influenced by architects like Alister MacKenzie and Seth Raynor, his notable Dallas-Fort Worth area work includes Cowboys Golf Club in Grapevine and Cross Timbers Golf Course in Azle, among many others in the region.
