Our Review
Course History
The Resort Golf Club in Fort Worth, Texas, opened for play in 2003 as a public course designed by Keith Flatt and Bob Mase. Flatt, a Texas native from Azle, was a top amateur player who later caddied on the PGA Tour, served as head professional, founded the Keith Flatt Golf Academy, and managed and designed courses before launching Elite Golf Management, which oversees facilities across multiple states. Little public information exists on Bob Mase's background or other designs. The 6,626-yard par-72 layout sits along Eagle Mountain Lake amid rolling terrain, live oaks, and water hazards. The course underwent a significant redesign in 2006, adding new greens, bunkers, irrigation, mature tees, and rerouting three holes under the supervision of the general manager to enhance playability and strategic interest. No previous names or ownership changes were documented in available sources. The club hosts corporate outings and charity events but has no record of major professional tournaments or notable members.
