Course History
The Country Place is a private residential community in Carrollton, Texas, founded in 1971 on approximately 200 acres just north of Dallas. It features a nine-hole par-3 golf course measuring 1,255 yards that opened in 1975, along with amenities including tennis courts, swimming pools, lakes, and a clubhouse renovated from the former country place of Texas oilman Ray Hubbard. The course serves residents primarily, with narrow fairways surrounded by water hazards and townhomes presenting a challenge even for low-handicap players. Guests may play for a modest fee of $10 to $15. The architect and designer remain uncredited in available records, and no major renovations, previous names, ownership changes, or hosted tournaments have been publicly documented.
