Our Review

Uniquely positioned on a beautiful peninsula bordering Lake Lewisville. Features double greens and six different teeing areas per hole offering a challenging experience despite being only nine holes. Home to the only lighthouse-style clubhouse on the lake.

Course History

Stewart Peninsula Golf Course opened in 1998 along the shores of Lake Lewisville in The Colony, Texas. The nine-hole executive layout, featuring double greens and multiple tee boxes on each hole, was designed by Oklahoma-based architect Tripp Davis. A former standout golfer at the University of Oklahoma, where he was part of the 1989 national championship team and a three-time AJGA All-American, Davis founded Tripp Davis and Associates in 1994 after earning a master's in landscape architecture. The course draws inspiration from Scotland's classic links and California's Monterey Peninsula, presenting a par-33, 2,676-yard challenge with four par 3s, four par 4s, and one par 5 that can be played twice for an 18-hole round. Davis has other notable work in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including The Tribute Golf Links and Old American Golf Club—both in The Colony, the latter in collaboration with PGA Tour player Justin Leonard—and a full renovation of Preston Trail Golf Club in Dallas. The course operates as a city facility under The Colony's parks system, hosting local tournaments open to all skill levels. No major renovations or previous names are documented, and it has not hosted professional events.

Pretty solid course. Is in a really nice location and has some great views but the course itself needs work. Fairways are pretty patchy and goose poop is everywhere.
