Course History
Meadowbrook Park Golf Course opened in 1924 as part of Arlington's first city park of the same name. The city purchased the initial 52 acres for $5,000 in 1923, with sponsorship from the Arlington Rotary Club. The park debuted with picnic grounds and a nine-hole golf course, which remains the oldest in Arlington. The architect is uncredited in official records. During the 1930s, the park added amenities including a swimming pool and a sandstone monkey house, now part of the maintenance facility, though two original golf holes have since been lost. The course operates as a public 9-hole executive layout, par 33, managed within the City of Arlington's municipal golf system alongside courses like Lake Arlington Golf Course and Texas Rangers Golf Club. No major renovations, previous names, notable tournaments, or famous members are publicly documented.
