Course History
Coyote Ridge Golf Club opened in July 1999 in Carrollton, Texas, designed by architect George B. Williams, who has created courses across Texas including in Mesquite and Lubbock, as well as in New Mexico and Minnesota. Note some sources attribute design to Greg Williams. The course quickly established itself as a popular public facility in North Texas, featuring contrasting nines with the front open and breezy through residential areas and the back treelined with elevation changes near an old rock quarry by the Elm Fork Trinity River. In 2005, the Sam Moon Group, a Texas-based wholesaler and real estate firm, acquired the property, transitioning it to a semi-private operation with 101 members. The 27,000-square-foot clubhouse has undergone renovation, and recent improvements include bunker work around 2024 and infrastructure upgrades like a new pump station. The club hosts corporate outings, charity events, and local tournaments such as U.S. Kids Golf but has no record of major professional events.
