Course History
Coyote Ridge Golf Club opened in July 1999 as a public facility in Carrollton, Texas, designed by architect George B. Williams. The course features two distinct nines: the front plays like seaside links with water and bunkers, while the back winds through an abandoned Trinity River gravel quarry with trees and elevation changes. It was acquired by the Sam Moon Group in 2005 and is now owned by M&P Group, which also operates Shady Valley in Arlington and The Cascades in Tyler.[Course website](https://www.coyoteridgegolfclub.com/about-us/), [Club + Resort Business](https://clubandresortbusiness.com/finding-new-competitive-edges-at-coyote-ridge-gc/), [Sister Clubs](https://www.coyoteridgegolfclub.com/sister-clubs/)\\n\\nThe club underwent significant renovations from 2005 to 2007, including a $7 million project that added a new 21,000-square-foot clubhouse, white bunker sand, updated irrigation, and over 400 trees. Land Constructors handled extensive work during this period. The clubhouse received further updates, noted as newly renovated in recent descriptions. No previous names or major professional tournaments are documented, though it hosts local member events and junior golf competitions.[ForeTee](https://foretee.com/courses/texas/carrollton/usa/coyote-ridge-golf-club/13806), [US Golf Treks](https://www.usgolftreks.com/coyoteridge-review.html), [GolfPass](https://www.golfpass.com/travel-advisor/courses/2812-coyote-ridge-golf-club)
