Our Review

The world's first and only NFL-themed golf club etched into the rolling hills of Grapevine. Offers an all-inclusive experience with Dallas Cowboys memorabilia and theming throughout. Consistently ranked among the top public courses on DFW's west side.

Course History

Cowboys Golf Club in Grapevine, Texas, opened on June 14, 2001, as the world's first and only NFL-themed golf course, developed through a partnership involving Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and Evergreen Alliance Golf on land previously leased by the city for a public course. Designed by award-winning architect Jeff Brauer, who is based in Arlington, Texas, and has created numerous courses in the DFW area including Tangle Ridge Golf Club and Indian Creek Golf Course, as well as notable layouts like the Quarry at Giants Ridge in Minnesota and Colbert Hills in Kansas. Brauer, a past president of the American Society of Golf Course Architects, crafted a traditional championship layout blending with the rolling, wooded terrain, incorporating stone markers highlighting Cowboys history and a clubhouse with Super Bowl trophy replicas and memorabilia. The course has primarily hosted corporate outings, charity events, and private tournaments rather than major professional competitions.

The club transitioned to ownership by Arcis Golf, which undertook a multi-million-dollar renovation starting in mid-2025, commissioning Beau Welling to redesign the layout. Reopened on March 17, 2026, the transformation included rebuilt tees, expanded greens with Tif3D Bermuda grass, repositioned bunkers, new practice facilities like a Cowboys-themed driving range with game-used AT&T Stadium turf, and an 18-hole putting course, enhancing playability and entertainment value while preserving the NFL theme.
