Brookhaven Country Club opened in 1957 in Farmers Branch, Texas, founded by Robert Dedman Sr. as an affordable family-oriented club. It was his first project with ClubCorp, now Invited Clubs, which grew into the world's largest owner-operator of private clubs. One of the largest golf facilities in Texas at the time, the club features three 18-hole courses designed primarily by Press Maxwell, a founding member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects. Golf legend Byron Nelson collaborated with Maxwell on the greens in 1958 as his first course design project. The Master's Course, the most challenging layout, was updated by Jeff Brauer in the early 1990s with new bentgrass greens installed in 2002. The Championship Course received a renovation by Jay Morrish in 1980 and more recent work to improve playability. The President's Course offers a shorter, more accessible option lined by mature trees.
The club has hosted notable events including the 1975 Texas State Open and the 1972 U.S. Junior Amateur, along with other USGA competitions. Professional golfer Jordan Spieth grew up playing there. No previous names for the club or courses were identified.

A stern but fair test. The middle sibling — still a legitimate championship layout without the punishing length of the Master's.
Best suited for juniors, seniors, and beginners. Makes Brookhaven one of the most inclusive multi-course clubs in DFW.
